A Redditch man was sentenced to life in prison at Hereford Crown Court on Monday, April 15 after pleading guilty to raping woman in her 20s.
Haresfield Close resident Kenneth Hall, aged 56, targeted the woman as she was walking along Alcester Street in Redditch during the early hours of September 29, 2018.
He assaulted the woman and then raped her in a nearby alleyway.
Hall was arrested later that day and subsequently charged with rape on October 1 where he remained in custody.
Initially he pleaded not guilty to rape but later changed his plea to guilty on the third day of his trial.
Hall was sentenced to life in prison and must serve a minimum of 14 years.
