A PERVERT has been banned from all licensed premises in York for the second time while he waits to learn if he will go to jail.
Peter Christopher Webb, 67, exposes himself in crowded pubs and bars, Martin Butterworth, prosecuting, told the city’s magistrates.
On September 26, he was “hanging around with females” before he unzipped his trousers in Dusk in New Street.
And the court heard that earlier, on August 29, he was sitting with a drink at a table when he exposed himself in the Evil Eye Lounge, Stonegate.
Staff at both bars threw him out when they realised what he was doing, said Mr Butterworth.
He has previous convictions for similar offences and in 2013 was given a two-year criminal behaviour order, banning him from all licensed premises in York. That has now expired.
Magistrates adjourned sentence until December 18 while probation officers prepare a pre-sentence report on him.
They gave Webb bail on condition he stays out of every licensed premises inside the Outer Ring Road until then.
And they warned him that the sentencing bench could send him to York Crown Court for sentence if they decide their maximum powers of 12 months’ imprisonment were insufficient.
Webb, of Clarence Street, York, pleaded guilty to two charges of indecent exposure.
For him, Mark Partridge said: “It is a problem with alcohol rather than a sexual one.”
Webb wasn’t behaving in a sexual way when he exposed himself.
There needed to be an investigation into why he did what he did and how he could be stopped, said the defence solicitor.
Webb was put on the sex offenders’ register for seven years in 2016 when he was sentenced for exposing himself to beauticians as they gave him a body wax.
He was on a community order with a requirement that he attends a rehabilitation course for sex offenders in 2013 when he was given the criminal behaviour order after he exposed himself and performed a lewd act in a city centre pub
