Dark web paedophile who raped boy, 5, and abused toddler is jailed for 22 years


A dark web film paedophile who raped a five-year-old boy and sexually abused a three-year-old girl has been locked up.

Kyle Fox, who had started abusing the little girl when she was still a baby, filmed his “shocking and dreadful abuse of children”.

He was snared after a video uploaded to a dark web website was traced back to him by National Crime Agency (NCA) detectives.

When officers raided Fox’s home in Epsom, Surrey, in the early hours of the morning, they found his male victim naked on a bed.

Fox admitted attacking the children and recording his abuse of them, but denied posting any of the horrific footage to a dark web site, Kingston Crown Court in southwest London heard.

And today, he was jailed for 22 years after pleading guilty to all the charges against him – including seven counts of rape against the boy.
The court heard there were 13,000 photographs and videos of indecent child images on the defendant’s computers.

Some of these videos showed his male victim being sexually abused, while others were of the girl. In total a staggering 4,743 images were Category A – the most serious kind of abuse.

Fox claimed he had lost the memory stick and his computers had been hacked before the videos were posted online.

But he pleaded guilty to 22 charges against him, including rape, sex assaults and sharing indecent images, which started six years ago.
His victims are unrelated.

Judge Georgina Kent commended the NCA investigators who arrested Fox and stopped the “imminent” abuse of other children.

Sentencing the defendant to more than two decades behind bars, she said: “You sexually abused two very young and vulnerable children.
“Your offences were detected when a video of the abuse was uploaded on to a file-sharing website.

“It came to the attention of officers who were able to trace you from the data. These are extremely serious and depraved offences.
“No right-minded person could be other than horrified by this appalling series of offences.”

The judge told Fox she was “satisfied you used drugs to stupefy” the boy, and that tests later showed the child had “traces of cocaine in his hair”.

She said: “At this time, they [the victims] appear unaware of the terrible offences you perpetrated upon them, however there is a real risk that they may become aware and if so, that they will suffer serious psychological harm as a result.

“You recorded your offending, so I have read full descriptions of the shocking and dreadful abuse that you perpetrated on them.

“I have also read the chat logs in which your repugnant and distorted attitudes towards children has been laid bare.

“The evidence is that you uploaded over 6,000 videos to the file-sharing website site and in return gained credits which enabled you to view other content on the website.
“These are images that you produced and created.

“The images include images of children who were bound or or who appeared drugged.

“There is a schedule of 96 images and videos believed to be of the boy and girl in category A to C.”

Judge Kent explained she could have jailed Fox for life.

But she added: “I have reminded myself of recent authorities regarding discretionary life sentences which remains a sentence of last resort reserved for offending of the upmost gravity.”

Fox was sentenced to 14 years for his offences against the boy – seven rapes, six assaults by penetration and one sexual assault against him, with another year on extended licence.

And he was handed a further eight years for five sexual assaults against the girl and three counts of making indecent photographs of children, with a second year on licence.

He also received concurrent jail sentences for three counts of making indecent images of children.
