A pervert who tried to meet a schoolboy for sex was also found to have a vile video of a “nappy-wearing” young child being raped.

Twisted Michael Aldridge was first arrested in October 2016 after a Dark Justice sting caught him chatting to what he thought was a 13-year-old girl online but was in fact a member of the organisation.

The court was told that, on a lap top and hard drive, more than 600 indecent images and videos of children were found, including 31 category A, which are the most serious kind and involve penetrative sexual activity.

Officers also found Skype conversations between Aldridge and a 13-year-old boy, in which they had agreed to meet for sex, including bondage, Mr Wardlaw said.

Judge Earl told the court: ‘Each of these offences are so serious only a custodial sentence is appropriate.’ He was jailed for three years, ordered to abide by a sexual prevention order and pay a victim surcharge.
