Brian Keith Griffiths of Lancaster appeared at Burnley Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to:
Two counts of sexual assault on girl aged under 13 by penetration with a part of your body
Two counts of sexual assault on a child with penetration
Six counts of sexual assault of a child aged under 13
Five counts of sexual assault by touching
Two counts of causing or inciting a child aged under 13 to engage in sexual activity
The court was told that Griffiths had targeted the four young girls with repeated sexual attacks between 2003 and 2011 when the victims were aged eight or nine years old.
The judge sentenced Griffiths to a total of ten imprisonment – minus 36 days spent on remand
A sexual harm prevention order was made and he was told that he would remain on the sex offenders register indefinitely
