Northampton man convicted of child cruelty
A Northampton man has today been convicted of child cruelty against a seven-year-old boy.
Jamie Jex, 28, of Wellingborough Road, Northampton, appeared before Northampton Crown Court on Monday,
February 25, for sentencing having previously pleaded guilty to a charge of child cruelty.
In March 2018, Jex used excessive force on the boy, throwing him against a wall, causing serious injuries requiring hospitalisation.
Jex was sentenced to a 12 month community order and must complete 20 sessions of a thinking skills programme.
In addition, he must carry out 20 day rehabilitation activity and pay an £85 victim surcharge.
