A 46-year-old man has been jailed for a decade after being found guilty of rape, sexual assault and possessing extreme pornographic images.
Christopher Lee Cobb, from Church Village, was sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court on February 1 after pleading not guilty to four counts.
Cobb, of Abbey Court, was sentenced to 10 years in prison after trial.
South Wales Police Detective Constable, Ann Stevens, said: “We hope this result gives a clear message to people who think they can commit sexual crimes against others.
“The victim has been very brave throughout this process being forced to re-live the horrific incident by Cobb’s not guilty plea.
“South Wales Police will take any report of a sexual crime seriously and we will work with our partners to offer support and try our utmost to bring the offender to justice.”
Cobb, 46, was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment for each count of rape and assault by penetration to be served concurrently.
He was also given eight months for two counts of possessing extreme pornographic images, also to be served concurrently.
