A Leicester man who began sexually abusing a young girl when she was just a child has been jailed.
Mark Bindley, 55, was sentenced to 19 years when he appeared at Leicester Crown Court today (Friday 1 March).
Bindley, of Oak Crescent, Braunstone, was found guilty of 15 counts of indecent assault and two counts of indecency with a child on 26 February following a trial.
The abuse began in the 1980s and carried on until 1996, when she was a schoolgirl
