Pervert pensioner Raymond Perry downloaded 69 indecent images of children on his computer.
Police discovered the images after attending the 69-year-old’s Bradwell home and seizing his computer.
The defendant initially claimed the images were ‘pop-ups’ and said he was disgusted. But he later came clean and accepted downloading the images.
Now Perry has been handed a two-year community order.
Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard police went to his home on January 4, 2018.
Prosecutor Timothy Harrington said: “It was apparent to his wife and daughter that he spent a lot of time on his computer. He had raised concerns with his wife and daughter about indecent images of children. He had been looking at indecent images of children.”
Police found seven still images and 29 movies at category A – the most serious; nine still images and six moving images at category B; and 15 still images and three movies at category C.
Mr Harrington added: “An analysis of his computer showed no pop-ups. The analysis showed systematic searching for pornographic material.”
Perry, of Bradwell Lane, Bradwell, who has no previous convictions, pleaded guilty to three offences of making indecent photographs of children.
The community order includes a 35-day rehabilitation activity requirement. He is also subject to a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and is now on the Sex Offenders’ Register for the same period.
Perry must pay £1,200 costs.
