A convicted sex offender who lived in a tent before spending time with a woman from the Conwy area, who had a 15-year-old daughter, was jailed for eight months.
Stuart O’Boyle, 30, of no fixed address, admitted failing to comply with notification requirements required of a convicted sex offender.
Mold crown court heard he’d originally been convicted of a sex offence at Worcester.
Prosecutor Jo Maxwell said he’d moved to Treborth, Bangor, but had been asked to leave his accommodation and slept in a tent instead.
Counsel said there had been no further allegations of inappropriate behaviour following his arrest in the Conwy area.
The prosecutor said, if homeless, he was to inform police where he slept, weekly. He didn’t do so.
Simon Killeen, defending, said O’Boyle had disclosed his past to the mum.
Judge Niclas Parry told the defendant: “These orders are made for a reason. They are made to protect the public.”
