John Paul Sarkozi of Bristol appeared at Bristol Crown Court Court where he faced charges of:
Two counts of sexual communication with a child
One count of meeting a child following sexual grooming
The court was told that Sarkozi had contacted the online profile of someone he believed was a 14 year old schoolgirl
Sarkozi sent highly sexualised messages and images in a clear bid to groom the child for sexual activity
During the chat, the pervert requested naked images of the child, including a preference for photos when the child was on her period.
Sarkozi also sent a masturbation videos of himself.
However, the child did not exist and was instead an adult member of paedophile hunting team ‘Confronted and Caught – Stings’ who pose online as children to catch sexual predators who target kids
Sarkozi arranged meet the child but when he arrived at the scene, the team confronted him and questioned him on his internet activity
A member of the team rang the police and Sarkozi was arrested
Sarkozi eventually pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual communication with a child, and although he was arrested at the scene of the meet he had arranged, Sarkozi was let off the meeting a child following sexual grooming charge
The judge handed Sarkozi a three year community order
He was told that he must register as a sex offender for five years and will be subject to a five year sexual harm prevention order
