Violent bully convicted of attacking children
A violent bully who inflicted physical and mental abuse on three young children has avoided a prison sentence
John Nicholas Barker, 46 of Winsford appeared at Chester Crown Court where he was found guilty of three counts of cruelty to a child
The court was told that Barker repeatedly attacked three young children over a number of years. He inflicted physical pain on them by hitting or kicking them.
During one incident Barker held a knife to one of the kids throats.
The children were all left mentally scarred from the attacks
The judge handed Barker a 12 month prison sentence which was suspended for 18 months
A 20 week rehabilitation activity requirement was ordered and he was told to complete 150 hours of unpaid work
He must also pay £640 court costs
