A pervert who was caught by paedophile hunting team ‘Groom Resisters Scotland’ attempting to groom a young girl online has avoided a prison sentence
Michael William Tully of Edinburgh appeared before Edinburgh Sheriff Court where he pleaded guilty to:
Sexual communication with a child
Failing to report an accident
The court was told that Tully had contacted the online profile of who he believed was a child. He sent a string of sexual messages with the intent of engaging the child into sexual activity.
However, the child did not exist and was instead a member of paedophile hunting team ‘Groom Resisters Scotland’ who pose online as children to catch sexual predators who target kids
Tully was sentenced to three years supervision order
A three year rehabilitation order was imposed and he was told do complete 120 hours Community Payback.
Tully must also register as a sex offender with immediate effect
