Pervert jailed after abusing teenager

A Welsh pervert living in Ireland has been jailed after he repeatedly sexually assaulted and abused a teenage girl who suffered from learning difficulties
Mark Treharne Lewis, 36 of Carrickfergus (originally from Merthyr Tydfil) appeared at Belfast’s Laganside Court House where he pleaded guilty to:

Sexual assault on a child by penetration
Sexual activity with a child

The court was told that Lewis groomed the teenager who the court described as suffering from learning difficulties and having a mental age of 13, over a number of months
Lewis who worked as a mail dispatcher for a printing and graphics company in Belfast sent around a thousand messages to the girl in a bid to gain her trust
When the pervert isolated the girl, he began sexually assaulting and molesting her, which ended in digital penetration
The offences took place in October 2017
Lewis was sentenced to 21 months in prison
The judge told him that he must register as a sex offender for 10 years
