A 78-year-old man from Jersey has been sentenced to 13 years in prison at the Royal Court for sexual offences against four female victims.
Wilfred Morrish, from St Clement, had previously pleaded guilty to nine counts of indecent assault and three related to acts of gross indecency.
The offences took place between 1972 and 1999, when all of the victims were children – the youngest being just four years old at the time.
The court heard how all four of the women are still suffering severe mental health issues.
Morrish has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for 15 years, and issued with an indefinite restraining order – the first of its kind to be issued.
