Pervert caught by paedophile hunting team
We spend many hours of our personal time updating and improving this website to make it a valuable tool that will always be free and accessible to the public.
All we ask for in return is a small contribution, we will also send you some goodies in the mail as a thank you
A pervert who was caught by a paedophile hunting team attempting to groom a child online has been jailed
Andrew Mayers, 41 of Runcorn appeared at Chester Crown Court where he was found guilty by trial of various sexual offences involving grooming a child online
Mayers who used the username ‘Daddys girls, 41’ had contacted the online profile of who he believed was a child. He went on to send a string of sexual messages with the clear intent of engaging that child into sexual activity
However, the child did not exist and was instead an adult member of paedophile hunting team SGTI – Safeguarding the innocent – who pose online as children to catch sexual predators who groom youngsters
Mayers was sentenced to 16 months imprisonment
He was told that he must register as a sex offender for 10 years and a 10 year sexual harm prevention order was also imposed which would restrict his internet use and any contact with any child aged under 16
