A pervert who was grooming what he believed was a child online has been sentenced.
Rehmat Ullah, 45 of London appeared at court where he was sentenced for sexual communication with a child. The court was told that Ullah who is also know as ‘Tazz’ had contacted the online profile of who he believed was a child. He went on to send highly sexual messages with the clear intent of engaging the child into sexual activity or sexual acts
Ullah arranged to meet the child and her 12 year old cousin. The pervert said he wanted to his friend to participate in the abuse. However, the child did not exist and was instead a decoy called Layla Lou from the team Cobra UK. The team pose online as children to catch sexual predators. The team confronted Ullah at the meeting place and questioned him on his internet activity. Police were called and he was arrested
Ullah was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment
A five year sexual harm prevention order was put in place, and Ullah was told that he must register as a sex offender for a period of ten years.
Ullah was told that he will also face deportation on his release from prison.
