A pervert that believed he was grooming a child online has been jailed
James Watson of Wolverhampton appeared at Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to:
Attempting to arrange or facilitate the commission of a child sexual offence
Attempting to cause or incite to engage in sexual activity
The court was told that Watson had contacted the online profile of who he believed was a child. However, the child did not exist and was infact a member of a paedophile hunting team.
The judge sentenced Watson to 22 months imprisonment
He told Watson that he must register as a sex offender for ten years and he also imposed a sexual harm prevention order which would last for ten years
