A paedophile has been jailed for a string of sickening child sex offences dating back to the 80s.
Bryan Clarkson had denied raping a boy and three other charges of indecent assault – two against a boy and one on a young girl.
The vile offences were carried out against the children in Guisborough between 1987 and 1997.
Clarkson had denied all four charges and faced trial at Newcastle Crown Court.
He first appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court in March last year and the case was sent to Teesside Crown Court before being transferred to Newcastle.
After being found guilty by a jury, the 59-year-old was sentencing to 12 years imprisonment.
Originally from the Great Ayton area, he had more recently been living in Balfour Road in Dover, Kent.
