Pervert caught by paedophile hunting team

A pervert who believed he was grooming a young girl online has been jailed
Shane Robert David Jenking of Scarborough appeared at York Crown Court where he faced a number of sexual offences involving children
The court was told that Jenking had contacted what he believed was the profile of a 12 year old girl. The pervert sent a number of sexually charged messages with a view of engaging the child into sexual activity.
Jenking proceeded to send various naked pictures of himself, and a video which included masterbating himself to the point of ejaculation
In a string of vile messages, Jenking told the child that he wanted to buy her some sexy underwear from Ann Summers. He also stated he wanted to meet her at a hotel so he could take her virginity.
However, the child did not exist, and was instead an adult member of online child protection team ‘Capital OCP’ who pose online as children to catch sexual predators who target children
Although Jenking attempted to arrange several meetings with the child, he failed to show up, which prompted the team to act quickly and hand their evidence into police who swiftly arrested him.
Jenking was charged with four offences in total which included:

Two counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child
Two counts of arranging or facilitating a child sexual offence

The pervert denied the offences right up until the day of his trial, where he dramatically changed his plea to guilty to all of the charges he faced
The judge sentenced Jenking to 10 months in prison
He was told that a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years was to be put in place to prohibit online activity, and any unsupervised access to children
Jenking was made to register as a sex offender for 10 years.
