A sexual predator who tried to meet a 13-year-old girl for sex in a park was snared by a group of paedophile hunters.
Bingo hall worker Christopher Gamlin, 47, sent a string of explicit photographs of himself to a profile he believed was that of a teenager.
He had also asked for pictures of the girl’s breasts before arranging to meet her.
But he had been caught in a sting by online child protection team ‘Keeping Kids Safe’.
They caught the moment they confronted him on camera.
Cardiff Crown Court heard Gamlin was arrested shortly afterwards.
Gamlin, of Cardiff, admitted attempting to meet a child after grooming and attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity.
He already had a caution for making indecent images of a child.
Gamlin was jailed for a year and nine months and was given a ten year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Judge Jeremy Jenkins said: “You have a very unhealthy interest in children
“You were repeatedly told she was only 13 years of age.”
