A pervert who had sex with a corpse in a funeral home has been jailed for six years.
Kasim Shazada Khurum, 23, was high on booze, Mamba and PCP when he broke into the Co-op undertakers on Remembrance Sunday last year.
The shocking incident took place at a the Central England Co-operative Funeralcare on Walsall Road, in Great Barr, Birmingham.
He lifted the lids of nine coffins containing men, women and a baby before removing the clothing of two victims and raping one body.
A call was made to Sandra Cherry, manager at the funeral home, who arrived at the scene to find a female victim had been interfered with.
After his arrest, Khurum’s initial reaction was that he had left his watch in the funeral parlour.
He said: ”I bet you think i have been ‘s***** them don’t you?’”
Police arrived after the burglar alarm had been activated and Khuram was arrested at the scene.
He made other disgusting remarks in interview afterwards to police.
Swabs were taken from the victim which matched Khuram’s profile
The 23-year-old admitted the sexual penetration of a corpse at Birmingham Crown Court in December.
His Honour Judge Melbourne Inman QC said: “The offences you committed offend all human sensibility. I have not been able to find any similar case.
“Your intention was to steal anything you could find of value inside. You broke into the office and then you went further into the building.
“There were nine bodies at rest in the chapel of rest. You set about disturbing all nine.
“By the time you was arrested it was found all nine coffins had been disturbed. At least three had bodies disturbed and a funeral urn removed.
“One of the lids had been left on the face of a person leaving a mark. Another female had been moved out of the coffin. Her lower clothes removed….
“It was total degradation of the dead. Another female victim was taken out of the coffin and placed on the floor.”
The judge continued: ”A chapel of rest is where our loved ones are taken and we have complete confidence they are safe from ills of the world.
“The mere fact their peace disturbed has a chilling and profound effect on the families.
“The police have to deal with the effect of nine families. Their grief is terrible to hear.”
He added; “There is no real mitigation. The opinion is you do have underlying psychotic nature but it was a result of drug induced psychosis taking a dangerous cocktail of drugs and alcohol.”
Speaking at the sentencing, Mr Robert Price, prosecuting, said: “The family have been caused immeasurable hurt.
“Members of the family involved sought counselling and medication. It was the violation of a beautiful person.”
A family statement said: “The actions of this monster is like a thunderbolt to the heart of our family. We were already dealing with grief. The pain caused by this cannot be expressed.”

Depraved pervert had sex with corpse
This is the first picture of a pervert who had sex with a corpse after breaking into a funeral parlour.
Sick Kasim Khuram opened several coffins before choosing his victim .
And not even a blaring burglar alarm – which went off when he broke into the Co-op site in Walsall Road, Great Barr, was enough to put him off.
The 23-year-old’s picture was revealed by West Midlands Police after he admitted the sexual penetration of a corpse at Birmingham Crown Court on Wednesday.
Khuram, of Kenilworth Road, Aston, also searched the property and stealing jewellery on November 11.
Police arrived after the burglar alarm had been activated and Khuram was arrested at the scene.
Kasim Khuram, 23, entered the Central England Co-operative Parlour, off Walsall Road, in Great Barr on Sunday, November 11, where he sexually violated a body lying in a coffin.
Jobless Khuram, of Kenilworth Road, Aston, pleaded guilty today to one count of sexual penetration of a corpse and a charge of burglary, at Birmingham Crown Court.
The court clerk said: ”You intended an act of penetration by a part of your body. The penetration being sexual and knowing or being reckless as to what was being penetrated.”
Judge Francis Laird QC warned the defendant that he faces a substantial jail sentence when he is scheduled to appear before the court on Jan 31.
Judge Laird said: ”I will adjourn your sentence to the date that has been raised in the court.
“I will allow your solicitors the appropriate time to present to the court a medical report which your solicitor thinks will assist in delivering the appropriate sentence for you.
“But you must be under no illusion that you will receive a sentence of imprisonment for your offending in this case, a substantial sentence of imprisonment. “
Tattooed Khuram, dressed in a black fleece top and black trousers, acknowledged his relatives in the public gallery before he was remanded in custody.
Also understood to be in court were relatives of the deceased.
Jobless Khurum, who lives in a hostel in Aston – who has previously been sectioned – will be sentenced on January 31.
