A man aged 47 who believed he was meeting a girl of 12 for sex has been jailed for two years at Bradford Crown Court.
Alan Lee was snared by on-line paedophile hunters ‘Predator Exposure’ after messaging the imaginary child 200 times on WhatsApp and calling her “beautiful” and a “princess.” He chatted to the “child” about nudity, masturbation and how to abuse herself with the handle of a hairbrush, prosecutor David Bradshaw said today.
Lee, of Belinda Street, Hunslet, Leeds, pleaded guilty to five charges of attempting to incite a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity. Mr Bradshaw said he contacted someone purporting to be a girl aged 12 and held 200 conversations, between October 30 and November 11 last year. The court was told that the person pretending to be the child made it clear from the outset that she was 12. She also stated she had been in care since she was nine. Before he arranged to see her in person, Lee told the girl: “If you don’t want sex, there’s no point meeting.”
Judge Burn made a ten-year Sexual Harm Prevention order and Lee must sign on the sex offenders’ register, also for ten years.
