A pervert who changed his name to ‘innocent’ before his case went to trial has been jailed
At his trial on 2nd June, 2020 at Cardiff Crown Court, Innocent Uche Ukwuozor of Newport and Cardiff was found guilty of sexual communication with a child offences
The court was told that Uche Ukwuozor who changed his name to Innocent Uche Ukwuozor pre-trial had contacted the online profiles of six young girls he believed were under 16.
Ukwuozor sent a string of sexually explicit messages with the intent of meeting the girls and engaging them into sexual activity. However, the pervert failed to turn up to any of the meets he had arranged.
The girls were all infact adult members of various paedophile hunting teams which included Totnes Justice
The team handed their evidence to police who finally located Innocent and arrested him.
During the police investigation, it was discovered that Ukwuozor had used a number of fake ID’s including a passport and college ID’s for education.
Ukwuozor maintained his innocence leading upto his trial, and even changed his name to Innocent, but the jury saw through his lies and found him guilty within an hour
The judge sentenced Ukwuozor to:
Three years imprisonment
Ten years Sexual Harm Prevention Order
To sign the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely
Ukwuozor will be deported once he is released from prison
