A pervert who sent sexually charged online messages to who he believed was a child has avoided a prison sentence
Simon Rowley, Bulwell appeared at Nottingham Crown court where he admitted:
Sexual communication with a child
Attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming
The court was told that Rowley had contacted an online profile he believed belonged to a child. He sent a string of sexual messages. However, the child did not exist and was actually a member of online child protection team ‘No More Silent Voices’
The judge told that Rowley that he would impose a community order for three years with a sex offenders programme included
Rowley was told that he must register as a sex offender for a period of five years
A sexual harm prevention order for 5 years was also imposed which limits any unsupervised access to children and his activity on the internet
