A pervert has walked free from court after he spoke sexually to someone online who he believed was a child
Unemployed Jordan Scott Hewson of Newport appeared at Newport Crown Court where he admitted:
Attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity
Causing a child to watch a sexual act
Attempting to cause a child to watch a sex act
Sexual communication with a child
The court heard that Hewson had contacted the online profile of someone who he believed was a 14-year-old. As well as sexually explicit chat, Hewson sent images of his penis and pictures of oral sexual activity
However, the child did not exist, and was actually a member of online child protection team ‘Totnes Justice’
Hewson was sentenced to:
A three year community order
100 Hours Unpaid Work
To sign sex offenders register for five years
Sexual harm prevention order for five years
