Teenage pervert found with hundreds of vile images of children and extreme porn

A pervert is facing a possible prison sentence after he was found with a stash of vile images of children which included many in the worse category
Sean Rowland had hundreds of the disgusting photos, including some of the most serious kind, and even distributed some of them
The 18-year-old, from Elswick, gathered his sick collection between June 2015 and June 2019 until it was finally discovered by police.
North Tyneside Magistrates’ Court was told that Rowland was also found with five extreme pornographic images, which involved adult men having sex with dogs.
Now, Rowland, of Beech Street, is facing a possible stint behind bars after he pleaded guilty to possessing extreme porn, three counts of making indecent images if children and one of distributing indecent images.
Rebecca Gibson, prosecuting, said 179 photos were category A, the most serious kind involving penetrative sexual activity
She added: “There’s not much more to add. This is a matter that ought to be committed to the crown court for sentence.”
Rowland was due in court on Wednesday, June 17, but failed to show and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Police subsequently executed that warrant and he appeared in custody in the dock the following day.
Releasing him on conditional bail, District Judge Paul Currer told Rowland: “You have pleaded guilty to these offences and will be given credit for that.
“They are serious offences and I don’t have sufficient powers to deal with them today, so I’m sending you to Newcastle Crown Court.
“It’s important you attend. If you fail to do so, you will be prosecuted.”
Rowland must live and sleep at his home address until he next appears at Newcastle Crown Court on July 16.
