A member of a popular dance act that appeared on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ has admitted six counts of sexual activity with a child.
Dance teacher Christopher Gittins, 22 of Woodside, Welshpool pleaded guilty to enaging in sexual activity with a male child who was aged between 13 and 15 years old.
The offences took place over a six week period in 2018.
His guilty pleas were entered by his barrister at a remote sitting of Caernarfon Crown Court held by Skype.
Gittins was a member of the Star Wars-inspired dance act Boogie Storm,
Boogie Storm were a dance troupe who reached the Final of Britain’s Got Talent in Series 10. They were all popular as they dressed as Stormtroopers during all of their performances. They recieved Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer, saying ‘you have made my dream come true’.
Gittins who worked as a dance teacher at his girlfriends dance school used his position to groom the child for his own sexual gratification.
The judge ordered a pre-sentence report from the probation service prior to sentencing which will take place on May 21.
Gittins remains on bail under the condition that he does not contact the victim by any means.
