A Bath man has admitted asking 14-year-old girls to send him explicit photographs and videos of themselves and repeatedly asking if he could show them his private parts, a court heard.
Christopher Williams, of Blackmore Drive, pleaded guilty to distributing an indecent photograph of a child, three counts of making indecent photographs of a child and two counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.
The 26-year-old appeared at Bath Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, October 31, to hear the charges against him, all of which took place between January 1, 2017 and January 23, 2018.
One of the six charges stated that on January 15, 2018, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, Williams intentionally attempted to communicate with a girl who said she was 14 years old.
The charge also said how he sent her explicit photos and videos of himself and encouraged her to send indecent photos and videos of herself too, which she then did, whilst using sexual language throughout the conversation.
Another charge stated that between January 17-20, 2018, he repeatedly asked another 14-year-old to send photos of herself to him and repeatedly asked to show her his private parts whilst using sexual language throughout the conversation.
Williams admitted to making indecent photographs of a child between January 1, 2017, and January 23, 2018.
The charge stated that this included three Category A images, which involves penetrative sexual activity or sexual activity, of a child.
During the same period, Williams made 13 indecent Category B images, ones involving non-penetrative sexual activity, of a child and 34 more Category C images, indecent images, of a child.
Finally, he admitted to distributing an indecent photograph of a child, namely two Category C images, on January 22, 2018.
The charge stated that he distributed two Category C images, which is classified as images of children in erotic poses.
Williams is now on unconditional bail and will appear at Bristol Crown Court on November 30.
